About our company

True Custom Builders has been in business for almost ten years. The company was started by brothers, Ken True and Dewayne True, in 1998. About two years later our brother, Dwight True, joined the company in 2000. With Ken’s background in structural design and Dewayne’s master carpenter skills we set out to make a difference in the home building community. With high standard and sticklers for details, our homes are second to none.

Since our induction we have been blessed in more ways than we could ever imagine. We employ around 10 to 12 of the best carpenters we can find, we base who we hire more on character and ability to work around others than their skill. Skill is a plus, but we can teach someone the skills necessary to be a framing carpenter or finish carpenter, changing someone’s character or ethics is much more difficult.

To have a better control on the quality of our homes we prefer to do all our own framing and our own trim work. We have been blessed with what we think are the best sub-contractors around this area. We select our subcontractors much the same way that we select the people we hire as employees. We also use the same subcontractors on every project whether it’s a new home or a renovation. This way we maintain the same quality on every project no matter how large or small it may be.

The differences that we have set out to make are just this simple:

5. Stand behind what you do. Problems are sure to arise, but the

These standards may sound trivial, but sadly enough we find just the opposite is true. We base our standards on good Christian principals that bring honor and glory to our Father, which is in Heaven.
